Student Creativity Illuminates Light Public Housing—Success of the Ma On Shan Light Public Housing Design Workshop

Young creativity injects new vibrancy into the future housing of Hong Kong! On 3 January 2025, the "Ma On Shan Light Public Housing Design Workshop" was successfully held at Tsang Pik Shan (Sung Lan) Secondary School. Students from the HKCWC Fung Yiu King Memorial Secondary School and Po Leung Kuk Riverain Primary School gathered to unleash their creativity, infusing youthful energy into the light public housing design.
This workshop was graced by the presence of officials from the Housing Bureau and the Architectural Services Department, who provided guidance to the students. The meticulously designed exterior walls, furniture, and mural works by the students not only garnered unanimous praise from the attending guests but will also be incorporated into the exterior design of the Ma On Shan light public housing.
