Xinjiang Study Tour
Date: 04/07/2025
This study tour to Xinjiang has been an unforgettable and awe-inspiring journey for both my students and me. From the scorching heat of the Huoyan Mountains to the liberating experience of horseback riding on the grasslands, and the joyous laughter of sliding down sand dunes in the desert, every moment was filled with surprises and opportunities for learning.
As a teacher, nothing brings me greater satisfaction than witnessing my students display resilience and curiosity throughout the trip. They were not merely sightseeing but were deeply engaged in experiencing the local culture. They took the initiative to converse with tour guides, listened intently to historical tales, and fully immersed themselves in every aspect of the journey. What moved me most was their ability to appreciate the beauty of diverse cultures, as well as their newfound understanding of respect and inclusivity. The evenings spent stargazing and chatting around the tents brought us closer together, allowing me to witness their growth and self-reflection.
One student remarked that this trip gave him a renewed perspective on how vast the world truly is, and it made him cherish the life he has even more. Such sentiments deeply touched me. A study tour is not merely about sightseeing; it is a profound journey of the heart and soul. I firmly believe that this experience will become one of the brightest chapters of their youth, further strengthening the bond between teacher and students.
